Member Spotlight - April 2011
Tiffany M. Oster
Tiffany M. Oster is a member of Omicron Lambda Chapter and a National Student Board Member of Kappa Omicron Nu Honor Society. She is currently completing an accelerated dietetic internship at Virginia State University.
Oster earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition from Oregon State University in Corvallis, OR, graduating with Honors. She previously earned double Associate Degrees from Central Oregon Community College; an Associate of Art and an Associate of Science in Exercise Science. During her time at Oregon State University, she was active in the campus community and was selected to represent the College of Health & Human Science undergraduate students by speaking at the College’s annual Celebration of Excellence. She was also a recipient of the Health & Human Science Undergraduate Research Award Program for her work on a Nutrition & Exercise Science Department research project, which resulted in her first abstract publication.
Oster has shown enthusiasm for community service and wellness through volunteer work as an Emergency Medical Technician-Basic at community ambulance and fire departments, as an advocate at domestic violence crisis programs, and as a reader at local Start Making A Reader Today programs. Oster is pursuing a career as a Registered Dietitian, with hopes to use nutrition and exercise science as tools to promote health and wellness.
