Leah Mary Shapiro

Leah Mary ShapiroLeah Mary Shapiro is a member of Omicron Tau Chapter of Kappa Omicron Nu, Penn State University, as well as being a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and Golden Key International Honor Society! She earned a Bachelor of Science in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management with High Distinction. As the Valedictorian of her major she was the Student Marshall during graduation, earning a 3.94 GPA during her 4 years at Penn State. She will soon begin her new career working for the Vista Host Hotel Management Company in their Manager in Training program. 

During her time at Penn State she was the president of Omega Phi Alpha Sorority, a member of the "THON Hospitality Committee," a THON dancer in 2011 and contributed over 50 hours of community service per semester. THON (Penn State Dance Marathon) is the largest student-run philanthropy in the world. It is a year-long effort which raises funds and awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer. All of the students efforts culminate with a two day, no sitting, no sleeping dance marathon and last year they raised over $9.56 million!
