Member Spotlight - April 2012
Catherine Coccia, Ph.D., R.D. holds her Bachelor of Science and Master degrees in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Florida and her Doctorate degree in Family Relations from Florida State University. She has been a member of Kappa Omicron Nu Society since 2009 and is a former recipient of the National Kappa Omicron Nu Doctoral Research Fellowship 2010-2011.
This past August she started a position as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Human Sciences at Texas A&M University - Kingsville. Here she is teaching classes in Human Development and Family Studies as well as continuing her research focusing on community-based programs for children and families, program development and evaluation, parent-child relationships, health-related outcomes, and diverse populations.
